And another chapter begins....
My oldest (baby) girl just got her drivers license. Lord help me!
As difficult as it is to watch her pull out of the drive way, I have to trust that God will guide and protect her and that all those hours training in the car will keep her safe.
I'm not going to lie, her independence and confidence not only amaze and inspire me...it also scares me to death. It is true, time flies when you're having fun!
Do you need a better perspective before your feet hit the floor in the morning? I stumbled upon this image and thought I would share. These are simple ways to wake up with a smile on your face.
5 Things to Do Before You Get Out of Bed:

Sometimes I wonder why God chose me to be a Mom.
After all, I am a germ-a-phobe. I have a short temper. I raise my voice a lot. The word NO comes out of my mouth too quickly. I am not consistant with punishments. But most of all, I don't always feel qualified for this job.
I really think I should start a group...a group of Moms who could use some encouragement and support like me. I know I'm not alone and we weren't meant to do life alone.
Here is what I do know.
“Jacob was a cheater, Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a murderer, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossip, Martha was a worrier, Thomas was a doubter, Sara was impatient, Elijah was moody, Moses stuttered, Abraham was old,… and Lazarus was dead. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the CALLED!”
So this is GREAT news - for me at least! We all have stuff and THAT IS ENCOURAGING. We aren't alone in our suffering. Some days I feel like I fall short. On those days I need to focus on how far I've come and stop letting those voices of defeat take over. This is where a "tribe" might come in handy.
Through my experiences I truly have come a long way.
I'm still a germ-a-phobe but I don't Lysol my castle every week like I used to...WOW did that take up a lot of time! My patience is growing stronger, my voice is softer, I try to take time before giving my answer and I am taking the time to be consistant. I am also giving more HUGS...the kind of hugs with meaning.
You know what I think has helped me most looking back over the years? Not being too busy. Our families and our friends need our attention...our undivided attention. They need us to notice when there's a problem because sometimes they don't even know there IS a problem. They need to know they are important. They need to learn from us that there are boundries we need to set for ourselves. They need to know that we will always fight for them and always have their back. They need our time.
To the Moms that are reading this...you are doing great! Please share this if you know of someone who may be struggling.
We are not meant to do this life alone. Let's start a Mom Club! Message me if you're interested.
