Here are some tips to stay cool
I am not complaining about this hotness one bit as it will start getting cold again before we know it!
1) Think light...
People in tropical climates wear loose, lightweight cotton and linen clothing.
Have a cool, damp clothe handy to wipe your face and wrap around your neck. For softball, we put ice water in a cooler to rinse our clothe often. Also, running cool water over your pulse point on your wrist, temples and face will cool you down fast. Lastly, Don't forget to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated!
Big meals causes your body to work harder to digest. Break up your meals into smaller...more frequent meals (snacks). You will feel cooler, and it's better for your metabolism anyway.
4) Add a little spice.
Scientists have discovered that spicy foods make you sweat without actually raising body temperature. When you sweat from the spice you'll feel cooler as your sweat evaporates.
Stay cool friends :)
Last night for dinner I made these AWESOME Lasagna Cupcakes and they were a HUGE hit! It was something about the crunch of the wanton wrapper and the melted goodness of the cheese that left all of our plates empty and our bellies full. It is quick, easy and oh so good - Enjoy!
1.5lb - Ground Hamburger
1 - Chopped Small Onion
1 - Package of Wanton Wrappers
1 - Small Container Ricotta Cheese
Sliced Mozzarella Cheese
1 - Jar of Spaghetti Sauce
2 - Muffin Tins
Brown Hamburger and Onion with your preference of seasonings - I used roasted garlic, garlic salt and pepper.
Mix Ricotta Cheese with seasonings of your preference - Again, I used roasted garlic, garlic salt and pepper.
Slice Mozzarella Cheese and cut into squares (the size for a cracker)
Spray your muffin tins with a little cooking spray. Put a wanton wrapper in each muffin cup...in each cup put a spoonful of the following: meat, spaghetti sauce, ricotta mixture and a square of mozzarella. Then layer another wanton wrapper, a little hamburger and another spoonful of sauce.
Bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes - YUM!
